100 PPD Regulators are mounted on Heated Manifolds
to keep trash and liquid chemical from damaging the Regulators. The
plated-copper Flex-Connectors are run to the gas bottles on a Double
Pan Scale for the Automatic Switchover function. These manifolds could use a
CROSS fitting instead of the TEE and connect to TWO 150 # bottles to feed up
to 70 PPD.
The customer who built this decided to use
Unions for the Ejectors
because they already had the ball vales installed previously and the
Downstream side drained into the contact chamber system.
Note: If there is no Back-Pressure
generated by the Downstream piping, problems could occur that would prevent
the Ejectors from working, but luckily this was not the case here !
Any System Operation problems can be
Diagnosed using the Pressure Gauges located on
the water supply lines just beyond the camera range above.
Either or both of the Ejectors can be isolated when
unused or removed for service in a clean shop environment, leaving the other equipment in
service.
The Ejectors can be isolated and
removed to be serviced. The Regulators would need to have valveing on
their gas outlets to isolate them for service as would the Remote
Metering Panels.
Spare valves and fittings are always recommended
so you can keep your systems running and maintain your redundancy
requirements !
